Water Tower

We have an old water tower up on the hill that has not seen any new paint in several years. This has become somewhat of an eyesore given all the new construction and businesses that are now moving to the North end of the city. My idea is to convert the water tower itself into a restaurant which overlooks the entire city. This would be one of the biggest tourist attractions outside of the tour train. Yet this would be open year round. The cost associated to such an endeavor will definitely reach the high end of the scale, depending primarily on the amount of preparation needed to retrofit the entire structure and ensure its safe operation. The center section of the tower could be cut out allowing windows to be installed around the complete structure a full 360 degrees. An elevator system would have to be installed to bring people up and down and in the center of the main floor would be the kitchen on one side and the bar on the other. The overall size of the tower itself would probably accommodate multiple levels which could be leased out to business or house a gift shop and other forms of entertainment. This is a very doable out of the box solution to something that has been part of this community for as long as I can remember. Lets see if we can get it to become something everyone will benefit from.
