We envision creating a centre that will change Chris' life. Chris has Autism, and upon graduation from highschool, it became clear that there were very limited supports and activities in Hamilton to help him actualize his full potential. This need was highlighted by the fact that Chris' twin brother does not have Autism and was able to continue his journey towards reaching his full potential. His father, Guy, is working with The Salvation Army to ensure that his sons and all adults with Autism have the same opportunities regardless of ability.

Autism Spectrum Disorder is one of the most common developmental disabilities. In Ontario, there is an estimated 70,000 individuals with ASD. The Salvation Army Lawson Ministries envisions a high-quality, professionally staffed, compassionate Autism Centre located in the central downtown. Its goal is to design and build a Community Centre for Adults with Autism. The purpose is to offer a central location for participants to develop skills and participate in recreational activities - allowing them to actualize their full potential while giving support to families.

We need your help to make the dream of this centre a reality!! Aviva's donation to the centre would enable us to complete construction of our specially adapted gymnasium and music therapy room.
