S.T.Y.L.E program ( Skills Training for Youth Through Learning and Education) is an active program that after its first year within two priority neighbourhoods, has actively serviced over 70 youth and their families to equalize the playing field.

The S.T.Y.L.E team is committed to providing Learning Disability specific academic remediation, life skills and social skills to those youth within our program area (neighborhoods) that have been identified as having a LD and/or AD(H)D. Through this mandate, the S.T.Y.L.E program will reach those youth that have been social isolated, identified as at risk and youth that have been lacking resources thus leading to academic drop outs, continued risk of social isolation and risk of emotional/ mental health concerns. This being identified, S.T.Y.L.E program areas will see a decline in high school drop outs, incidents of social/ emotional risk behavioral and an overall positive commitment from the youth within their schools, families and communities.

S.T.Y.L.E at date of submission of this idea ,has on average over 80 youth and their families actively access our supports and services. In 2008/2009, 95% of the youth and families that received supports and services, saw a decrease in intervention with the law, successful completion of high school and/or high school core credit and the ability to finally advocate and create progressive change in their schools and communities

Continued funding of this program will ensure that no youth goes without such a service as STYLE, parents have a community support to seek tools and educational access to advocate and that a **Learning Disability*** finally be demystify thus equaling the playing field for all youth!
