The Jane and Finch Centre for Change is a project targeting kids, youth and adults in a low income neighbourhood.

This program will provide free daycare for single parents, 3 meals a day, and actively promote education and work opportunities. We believe it is our duty to assist the many single mothers and fathers in our community to make a change and to achieve success. In order to access JF CFC services and resources, struggling members of the community will be encouraged to either enroll in school or obtain employment.

In addition, this program will provide shelter and counseling for pregnant teens in need of family support and to victims of domestic abuse of all ages. We believe that these services will help promote the healing process and help get these good people get back on their feet.

The Aviva grant would be used to create a safe haven for members of the Jane and Finch community and help them find real options for a brighter future. We are striving to rejunvinate Jane and finch because we recognize the tremendous potential in this community. Jane and Finch is hungry for success and we are willing to run the extra mile to lead our people to a brighter future by providing support, promoting education, and encouraging hard work. Students in Action is here today to win the money and to use it to the best of our abilites for this worthy cause. We will take our kids off the streets and guide them to a better pathway, we will make sure that all age groups find a place to get their next meals, and we will show our single parents that its never too late to build their careers.
