Bring Landen Home
Aperçu:
Hi there, I am writing this letter on behalf of Landen and his family. He was born on **June 27th, 2010** and was diagnosed with **Pierre Robin Syndrome**. A symptom of PRS is a cleft pallete. He has been in and out of the hospital since the day he was born. He spent the first 3 months of his life in the hospital and with a feeding tube. He had gotten his cleft pallete repaired on **July 20, 2011**. There were complications during the surgery which left him unable to breathe properly. The doctors took him back into the O.R and Landen now has a trach in his throat for him to breathe. As of now, he is unable to talk or make noise. Although has been in the IWK Childrens Hospital since July 20, 2011 with his mother, Cassandra, she wants to be home with her son and live a happy and normal life, but to do so, his grandparents' house needs to meet the IWK regulations which requires to have adiquate space for his medical equipment. To do so, they need to renovate the basement for his space as where he will be having a nurse come in to look after landen for a twelve hour period and then will be relieved by the mother and grandmother. They have type 3 training in trachiamony. **We are having a fundraiser for him on the 19th of Novemeber 2011 at the Spryfield Legion BR. 152 @ 7 Sussex Street, Halifax.** We have documents here from The IWK Hospital from staff and Social Services department if needed. Please vote for us so we can bring him home where he belongs and have him home by Christmas! So much has to be done and so little time! If there are any questions or concerns, you can reach me @ 444-6438 just ask for Hedy Cameron. Thank you for taking time out of your day to read about us!
