Culture Awareness Program

Native Friendship Center of Montreal is working on bringing back the cultural mandate that is greatly needed in our community. The problem that we face challenges in terms of core operating funding as well as is a lack of resources in terms of instruction, tools, or resources create workshops at the present time. The staff at the NFCM and volunteers do fundraising for some of our cultural teachings. The program that we would like to put together is a Culture Awareness Program and to use the funding to create workshops like Story telling,Regalia making, Hand Drums(Material),Ceremony teachings,Traditional hunting etc. We would also like to host a Pow-Wow within Montreal after these Initiatives are completed and have our people feel good about themselves and feel proud and keep our Cultural Alive.
