FIG Approved Aerobic Gymnastics Floor

Saltos Athletics needs your help!!! Located in Perth, Ontario and servicing athletes from all of Lanark County they are home to the National Aerobic Gymnastics Team. Aerobic Gymnastics is the ability to perform continuous complex and high intensity movement patterns to music, which originate from traditional aerobic exercises: the routine must demonstrate continuous movement, flexibility, strength and the utilisation of the 7 basic steps, perfectly executing all the movements including the difficulty elements. The routine is performed on a 7 x 7 m area (floor). http://www.gymcan.org/site/areobic.php A FIG approved floor is not available anywhere in Canada and this hinders the athlete's development and ability to perform at an international level. A new floor is cost prohibitive for our gym and we need your help. Please vote for our idea to purchase and install a FIG approved floor for the Perth Ontario gym. This will benefit the development of all of the athletes. With the new floor the gym will be able to expand their service offerings to the local community and make the sport of Aerobic Gymnastics available for all age groups.
