Helping Hearts

Helping Hearts is a non-profit organization created by Melissa Knowles and Michelle Regner and supported by a team of professional photographers bringing complimentary photography to families who have a child suffering a life altering illness or disability. We strive to bring smiles and happy memories to our families who at times are facing very difficult medical circumstances. We are looking to implement additional programs for our families and additional resources for our photographers. Our photographers work on a volunteer basis at present, which can at times pose many expense issues as some travel for several hours to meet with deserving families. We provide our service across Canada in both English and French, and to all families. Nothing makes us happier than seeing the beautiful smiles on a families face! We meet with our families wherever is most comfortable or necessary for them. Perhaps this means the NICU at a local hospital, a park, or a photographers studio, we accommodate the needs of the family, whatever they may be. Funds from the Aviva Community Fund would help further the Helping Hearts experience of all of our families. It would also go towards assisting the organization to grow, bring additional programs to families and expand what we can offer. It would also help cover costs associated with each session including travel, prints of images or family needs.
