Peace Treats is the best club any university or community could ever have. Why? Because we make people happy! How? We bake cupcakes for other clubs, so that they can use them for events or fundraisers! After selling our cupcakes to clubs at a very low price, we donate all of our proceeds to Little Footprints, Big Steps, a nonprofit organization that aids abused children in Haiti. We usually meet in the Midnight Kitchen at McGill University and bake delicious cupcakes together. Since Midnight Kitchen is a vegan kitchen, the majority of our cupcakes are 100% vegan. Other times, we do community baking, with a few members gathering at someone’s house to bake a batch of cupcakes together. Combining our passions for baking and donating to worthy causes is what Peace Treats is all about. It is just pure happiness!
We have made cupcakes for multiple clubs at McGill including Developing Pictures MAC, Change for Change, Somalia Training Aid and Relief club, TV McGill, Salsa McGill and many more. We hope to continue to expand, getting as many people involved as possible, so that everyone can bake for a good cause.
