Arts Center for Camp Geddie

Camp Geddie is in need of a new facility for our Arts program. We hope to build a two story facility that would offer needed space for all who use the camp including our summer programs, school day trips,adult weekends and school and community groups who rent the facility in the non-summer months. We envision a building that will have space for crafts, music, drama and more! It would allow the children and youth, especially, to have a place to create and play and discover the 'unplugged' fun of messy crafts and costumes closets! Our present building is 40 years old and in desperate need of replacement.As a camp community, we have committed to replacing the building and have begun to fundraise so the next generations of campers will enjoy a safe and inviting space to create and play! Camp serves over 1200 campers each summer, between residential camp and school programs. We are located on the Northumberland Strait, overlooking the ocean and all its beauty. We are a non profit organisation, who for the past 65 years has offered summer camp, and for the past 20 years, year round camping, to children and youth from the Atlantic Provinces and beyond. Through the generosity of many, we continue to improve our site and progamming so that campers are insured a safe and inviting place to come and enjoy the beauty and joy of creation.
