It takes a community to raise a child. The youth in Waterdown need more opportunity to have a safe place they can go, and be involved in healthy, mentoring relationships to help them make right decisions in their lives. Waterdown YFC is well into the process in making it a reality of building a youth centre at the corner of Parkside Drive and Hamilton Street in Waterdown. Where our staff and community volunteers and build into the youth of our community and help them to reach a level of excellence. Having an atmosphere of caring adults to provide after school programs, to encourage and help youth realize their potential can be the start of them being empowered to make positive changes in their lives and the lives of others. The difference of just one person, that is trusted, and cares about you and your future can make the difference of youth succeeding in live or choosing the wrong path. We want to provide a place where all youth feel welcome to be connected and benefit from those with a passion to build into their lives. Help us make this reality so we can open the doors in the fall of 2012. We need your vote, we need your support and the youth of Waterdown need a place to feel safe and welcome to have fun with those with a heart to reach out to youth in the community.
